My baby is 3!!!!! It's hard to comprehend that! I still vividly remember the day he was born! Can't believe 3 years have gone by already.
Jack- I am so proud of you! You are such a sweet, loving and hilarious little boy. Your daddy and I were just saying the other day how much joy you have brought to our lives! We couldn't imagine our life without you. Even when we are away from you we repeat all the things that you say and just crack up laughing.
You are mommies dream come true!! Nothing compares to being your mom! I love our times of cuddling or dancing or singing. You are so much fun! Just yesterday someone at church commented on how well behaved you are. You are just such a gentle , sweet boy.
I look forward to the years to come. I am enjoying watching you grow and learn and discover and becoming the person you are meant to be. My hope is that I will allow you to make your own choices and your own mistakes and I will always accept you as you are, unconditionally.
I love you , mister! Your daddy and I are so proud of you!
Jack and I went out to the Zindel's tonight to take some family pictures. Carl and Debbie celebrated their 25th anniversary this year! We had such a great time. After we took the pics Jack jumped in the pool with Zach and Dylan. He had a blast. We used to go out to the Zindel's a lot when we were growing up but I haven't really seen them in about 10 years. It was really nice visiting with Debbie. She is someone I really looked up to growing up. She always has a smile on her face and is such a wonderful mom. She is so welcoming and encouraging. I love you Debbie!!
Marx brother Tim and his family came down for a visit last Saturday. It was a fun day. We went to lunch, went shopping and played a bit of Rockband. Jack was extremely excited to see Nit and Tate!! (Nick and Kate)
Kate kept saying how cute Jack was. I wish I could have got a picture of them holding hands while walking in the mall- so sweet!
Finally!! No more diapers. On August 2nd we woke up and din't have any more diapers. Jack has a dirty diaper so I cleaned him up and told him he would have to wear his underwear because we were all out of diapers. So ever since then he has been wearing his big boy underwear. The first week he had a few accidents but now he is great. He even goes in to use the toilet all by himself. We are so proud of our little man. We still put a pullup on him at night and that is fine. I am really relieved because I didn't want 2 in diapers! I guess that proves that when they are ready, they are ready!!
Last night he was playing and all of a sudden he came over to me, kissed my belly gave it a quick hug and then just went back to playing. He is very aware of her in my belly and talks about her all the time. I love it. He is going to be such a sweet brother.
Saturday was Marx 29th birthday! We had a great day. We went to David and Katie McKee's wedding and had a blast. Then yesterday Becky & Heather and Jake & Stephanie came over for cake. It was really nice. Even though the cake ended up on the floor when Jack tried to pick it up and bring it in to show everyone. We walked in the kitchen and he said, "it just flipped over?" Like he had no idea how that happened!! We just laughed!! Anyway, hope you had a great bday weekend honey!!
Today is mine and Marx 5th wedding anniversary. Wow how time flies. Lovie- I couldn't imagine life without you! You are more than I could have ever asked for in a husband. Thankyou for always encouraging and supporting me and for loving me through all the craziness. You are an incredible father! I fall in love with you over and over as I watch you with Jack. I can't wait to see you with our little girl. I still remember the first time I saw you walking down the escalator at Famous Barr. You were so sexy and mysterious. You're still just as sexy as that first moment!! I love you. "How can I stand here with you and not be moved by you. Would you tell me how could it be any better than this? You're all I want, you're all I need. You're everything!" Words from our wedding song. I still feel this way today!!
Jack is almost 3 now and he has been saying some really cute things. I am amazed at how his little mind works. Unfortunately when you just read the words here on my blog you don't get to hear the tone in his voice which is even cuter. Anyway... The other day he looked at my growing tummy and said, 'what happen there?' as he pointed to my tummy. On Saturday while painting the babies room he said, 'you are my best mommy ever!' Yesterday he said quite a few cute things... When I bent down to talk to him yesterday morning he said, 'hey, I can see you in my eyes!' What he meant was that he could see himself in my eys. When I dropped him off at the babysitters yesterday he was watching me at the door. I got in my car and turned around in the culdesac and as I was driving by the house he was saying something and moving his arms and really trying to get me to understand what he was saying. So of course I pulled into the driveway and went up to the door to see what he was saying. When I opened the door he said, 'Mommy, you didn't get your hug!' Last night we were laying in bed and I had my tummy exposed. He said, 'mommy your tummy is big.' I told him its because his baby sister is growing in there. He started rubbing my tummy. I told him he could talk to her if he wanted to because she can hear you! He looked at me amazed and said. 'she can hear me?' And he then started looking in my belly button trying to see her. He then started shining his laser light in there to see if he could see her. So funny- so innocent! This morning he was sitting on the floor for awhile and when he got up he said, 'Something is moving in my legs!' We realized that his legs fell asleep. So I told him that and he said, 'Yeah they went nigh night!' Some of you might think I am silly for thinking these words are so cute but I just love hearing the stuff that comes out of his mouth. It's fun to watch your little ones grow and learn and comprehend stuff. I still remember the first time I laid eyes on him and he was so helpless and needed us to do everything for him and now he runs all over and talks up a storm. I was thinking about that last night as he was sitting on the couch eating his icecream in that big ol' bowl, with that big ol' spoon. He's growing up!!
We started painting the nursery today. Jack was so excited to help. I video taped him painting and he said 'I'm painting my babies room. I love you 'lil sister, I can't wait to meet you.' Then he blew her a kiss. He can't wait to have his baby sister here!!
