Pets only! @ i♥faces this week...

This was my very favorite pet EVER!!! We gave her away a year and a half ago to an elderly woman that could give her lots of love and attention. I had just become so busy and poor Ryli paid the price. She started acting out(getting in to the garbage and going potty in the house. So I thought it was the best thing for her. But she really was such a sweet little thing. I loved her. And to be honest I regret the decision and I feel TONS of guilt over it.
Jack still talks about her as if she is still here. If you ask him if he has a dog he says 'yes, her name is Ryli. She lives up in the sky.'
I hope we can get another Ryli someday in the future. When my babies are bigger...

Gingerbread houses...

We made our first gingerbread houses tonight with our small group. We had so much fun. Everyone was so creative.
After the kids decorated them us parents got our turn...we caught Mark removing the candy that Jack had put on and redoing it to his liking. BAD Daddy!! :)

Ava has been sick the last few days so Mark stayed home with her. I think they bonded. He was telling me all the stuff she was doing and was so proud of her. These were taken a few months ago but I just came across them. I love how much they love each other.

She's one. Unbelievable! This year has just flown by. I blinked and my tiny baby is now a walking, talking little ball of joy!
Sometimes it feels like she just arrived and other times it feels like she has always been with us. She belongs with us. Our lives have been forever changed because she is in it. We are so proud of her. She is JOY. She sparkles. There is such a pure light in her eyes and her smiles and giggles are THE best! We can't get enough of her cuddles and kisses and she is always so generous to share them.
There really aren't adequate words to describe just how incredibly blessed we feel to have her in our lives.
Happy Birthday baby Ava. We love you and adore you!

This was from Ava's 9 month photoshoot a few months ago. She was smiling one minute and the next she had crawled up to me and fell asleep in my lap. We had to continue the photoshoot later...
I think it is adorable that she sucks her thumb when she sleeps(or if she is bored). And her other hand is usually playing with her hair.
